At a very young age, Marissa Joseph had been exposed to restaurants, dining out and some of the greatest family recipes. From feasting at the famed Pump Room as a child to frequenting restaurants on a nightly basis, as Joseph ate her way through the city of Chicago, her love for dining out and the fast-paced restaurant world quickly developed.

When Joseph entered high school she was amused when everyone would ask her where they should dine because they knew she was always checking out the latest restaurant openings. High school also brought on first jobs where Joseph began her restaurant stint as a hostess and server at local North Shore eateries. This included her very first restaurant position at Lettuce Entertain You’s restaurant, Wildfire, where she learned the ins and outs of the industry.

Joseph went on to study at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. There she specialized in Consumer Relations and focused on the relationships between consumers, products and the media.

After graduating, Joseph returned to Lettuce Entertain You and after six years and half years, worked her way up to Manager of Public Relations, overseeing the PR and Marketing for all 80 Lettuce restaurants in eight different cities.

In August 2010, Joseph opened an all-encompassing boutique Public Relations and Marketing company, called MJPR, focusing on the restaurant, bar and hospitality industries.

Joseph still thrives on checking out the newest places and hidden gems to eat and drink around Chicago and other cities. She loves spending time with her family, cooking, reading, shopping and traveling with her husband.
