Burger and Brews Reception at Poag Mahone’s

Poag Mahone’s is Celebrating National Burger Month and American Craft Beer Week!

Poag Mahone’s brings two American classics together at the first annual Burger and Brews Reception honoring both May’s National Burger Month and American Craft Beer Week (May 13-19).  Guests are invited to the cocktail-style reception featuring juicy burger bites created by Chef Gretchen Hollen and beer samplings from Founders Brewery.

Made with 100 percent grass fed beef, Hollen’s mini burgers will make National Burger Month proud with Poag Mahone’s four signature burgers including the Meatloaf Burger topped with loaded mashed potatoes, fried onion straws and a spicy ketchup glaze, Western Burger with cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce & crispy fried onion straws, Turkey Burger with salsa, Monterey jack cheese, chipotle mayo and avocado and the American Cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato.

To make the evening even tastier, General Manager Nick Stiglic has teamed up with Midwest brewery, Founders Brewery, to showcase the second all-American favorite (in no particular order), ice-cold craft beer.  Guests will have the opportunity to taste 9oz samples of some of the most popular brews from the brewery’s portfolio, including All Day IPA, Red’s Rye PA, Dirty Bastard and Curmudgeon Old Ale.  Every guest will receive a complimentary gift from Founders Brewery in addition to a raffle ticket for the chance to win some fantastic Founders Brewery prizes.  And for all the craft beer aficionados, Poag Mahone’s will be raffling three separate four packs of the limited imperial stout, Founders Brewery KBS.

The Burger and Brew Reception will be on Tuesday, May 14; 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event, including mini burgers and beer sampling, is priced at $30 per person, including tax and gratuity. Reservations are required by calling 312-566-9100.
