CrossTown Fitness to Open Third Location in Roscoe Village on December 10

November 21, 2017

Chicago’s premier high intensity interval training gym, CrossTown Fitness, is spreading its “Feel Good ” motto through the city and opening its third location in Roscoe Village, 3406 Lincoln Ave, on Sunday, December 10. This will mark the gym’s largest location boasting 3500 sq. feet of CTF’s signature high intensity interval training group classes, personal training and open gym, plus new features including Cryotherapy, Recovery Room and a Heart Rate Monitoring system.

New at CTF Roscoe Village:
*Cryotherapy: CTF will be the first gym in Chicago to manage and offer on-site whole body Cryotherapy. The gym’s state-of-the-art Impact Cryotherapy cryosauna uses cold temperatures to promote natural healing and wellness. The single three-minute sessions are available by appointment only during the gym’s regular business hours.

*Recovery Room: the new gym will have a dedicated area with only the best systems in place for quick recovery after a challenging workout. Tools include NormaTec compression boots, Hyperice balls and rollers along with resistance bands and lacrosse balls so attendees can make the most of their active recovery.

*Heart Rate Monitoring System: CTF has teamed up with Performance IQ to offer gym goers a real time display of their performance metrics. The wireless cardio equipment can be purchased at CTF or patrons can dial in directly using their personal phones or bands. A TV in the training area will track everything a workout fanatic would want to know including performance results and calories burned.

*Strength Stations: Seven Strength Stations will be used for one-on-one personal training sessions established around specific postures, muscle strengths and weaknesses, and modifications.

Similar to the current West Loop and NorthSide locations, CTF enthusiasts can take part in over 80 different 50-minute Group Training Programs per week, combining interval cardiovascular endurance and stamina routines with strength training. All classes and training sessions are taught by CTF Trainers who hold degrees in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Management and Exercise Physiology, in addition to being recognized by the industry’s top certifying bodies and many hold multiple certifications.

Other amenities at the gym include Grab-and-Go energy bites and beverages featuring local brands like GoGrocer. Come the spring, CTF will open its Storefront Windows exposing the machines and equipment for an al fresco Chicago workout. In addition, a dedicated Childcare room will be available seven days a week for only $5 per day with engaging activities for children from ages six weeks through 11 years old. Lastly, CTF attendees can enjoy the convenient and fully equipped private showers and locker rooms plus towel service.

Pricing:
The membership and drop-in options are endless ranging from a day pass to group classes for $30 and monthly-unlimited memberships for as low as $165. The Cryotherapy sessions will be available for $35/member and $45/non-members along with punch cards and unlimited packages. The NormaTec Compression Boots will also be an add-on of $10 for 30 minutes or $40 for the unlimited month for members and non-members.

CrossTown Fitness will be open to the public on December 10 at the corner of N. Lincoln Ave and W. Roscoe St. The hours of operation include Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For class schedules and more, visit the website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @ctfchicago or call 312-550-1063.
