Oktoberfest Hits the North Shore at Glenview Haus’ 3rd Annual Tent Party

Inspired by the world’s most popular German event, Glenview “Haus” will host the North Shore’s most exciting all-day Oktoberfest celebration this side of Munich on Saturday, September 20.
The 3rd annual festival will feature authentic grub, grog and live music in the 60×40’ Oktoberfest tent located in the railroad parking lot directly west of the restaurant. This year, guests are invited to dress in their most traditional garb for a chance to win exciting prizes, while kids can get in the spirit with a jump house and face painting.
The Beer
Guests can say ‘prost’ with Glenview Haus’ liters ($12) and half liters ($7) of Munich’s Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Weis and Sam Adams Oktoberfest brews. Event-goers will be provided with a commemorative cup ($2 each) to use throughout the day and attendees from last year are encouraged to bring their Glenview Haus cups with them, free of charge.
The Food
Oktoberfest isn’t just about beer as Chef Jeff Modica will prove with his festive Bavarian food specialties from brats ($5), giant pretzels ($7) and a German Plate ($8) loaded with a brat, German potato salad and sauerkraut.
The Music
While filling up on food and beer under the festival tent, event-goers can dance the polka as the six-piece German band, Die Musikmeisters, will play a rousing blend of traditional German music from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The Kids
Families of all ages can join in on the fun as a jump house and face painting will be setup from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Contest
Tent-partiers are invited to dress in their most authentic German garb to be entered in a raffle for exciting prizes and a grand prize $50 gift certificate to Glenview House.
The Oktoberfest tent party will take place on Saturday, September 20 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Glenview House will be open regular hours from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. with dining until 10:30 p.m. Free admission.
