Put Your Wine Knowledge to the Test This Summer at Zest Bistro!
June 15, 2012
Wine connoisseurs and novices alike can test their taste buds at these exciting new wine classes offered in July at Zest Bistro. Two different wine events can enhance your knowledge of wine from the best regions all over the world. Our Varietal Comparative Blind Tastings appeal to every wine enthusiast and guests are invited to sniff, swirl and sip as they guess each wine. From beginners to advanced, wine lovers will have the chance to taste eight perfect-for-summer wines blinded in brown paper bags, hand-picked from Zest Bistro’s wine director, Todd Hoffman. Wine tasting basics, how to smell and taste wine, will be explained and guests can discover which varietal and which region they prefer.
Zest Bistro’s Monthly Wine Class is a great option if you want to learn about what each wine region has to offer. July’s class brings wine from Washington State with a representative from the region to describe the profiles and history of each wine and answer any questions.
All wine events offer complimentary cheese and charcuterie paired perfectly with each wine selection.
Varietal Comparative Blind Tastings: July 7 and 14; 6:00 p.m., $20 each
Washington State Wine Class: July 10; 7:00 p.m., $10
Please RSVP by the day prior to the class; (630) 969-9869; Maximum 10 people at each event.
